THE HURRICANE

The Hurricane is an isopar based flame effect used in pyrotechnic and special effect performances. This video instructs how to operate the flame unit but should not serve as the sole means of training.

UPDATED VIDEO (as of 2016): NEW SAFETY FEATURE ADDED TO ALL HURRICANE/SUNSHINE FLAME MACHINES

The Hurricane flame machines now require the use of a custom pressure switch developed by Pyro Shows. The switch is easily installed between the Nitrogen tank and the hose going to the Hurricane flame machine. The pressure switch guarantees that the machine has adequate pressure before it allows the machine to receive 110V power, which is required for firing the machine. If at any time the pressure in the machine falls below the threshold set by Pyro Shows, the safety switch cuts the power to the unit and ceases its ability to fire.
