If a requested effect presents a risk to performers, crew, or guests, we will be transparent about the concerns and may decline to proceed. Just because something can be done doesn’t always mean it should – and we never compromise when it comes to safety.
“COLD” SPARKS….IS
THAT A THING?
Sparkular units are often referred to as “cold sparks” and are smokeless effects designed with safety in mind. Under normal operation, they can be touched briefly and are widely used in indoor and outdoor settings. A common question we receive is whether local or state permits are required to operate these units at events where people are present. The answer is yes-every time. Despite the “cold spark” label, proper approvals and compliance with local and/or state regulations are still required before these machines can be used.
