    This form has been updated to the new version released in 2020. The version below will accommodate most of our employees. However, if your tax situation is more complex than most, you might prefer using the PDF version found here.

  • STEP 2: Multiple Jobs or Spouse Works (NEW)

    Complete this section if you have more than one job OR you are married and your spouse also works. However, if you and your spouse have similar income amounts, then you can skip to the next question.

    Do only one of the following to determine the number to enter into the question under STEP 4 labeled "4 (c)"...
    2 (a). Use the estimator at the IRS website (easiest method)
    2 (b). Use the Multiple Jobs worksheet found on page 4 of the PDF version of the 2020 Form W-4.
  • STEP 3: Claim Dependents

    This applies if your income will be less than $200,000 or less ($400,000 or less if married filing jointly).
  • STEP 4: Other Adjustments

  • **This may include interest, dividends, and retirement income. However, if you are unsure what should be entered here, it's likely best to enter nothing.
  • **This only applies if you plan to itemize deductions. If you normally take the standard deduction (most common), then enter nothing.
  • This is where you would enter the amount found in STEP 2 using the new the IRS website or page 4 of the PDF version of the 2020 W-4.
    This only applies to the spouse or job with the highest income.
