Pyro Shows, Inc. is a fireworks production company headquartered in LaFollette, Tennessee, and was founded in 1986 by Lansden E. Hill, Jr. Mr. Hill, Pyro Shows’ President and CEO, started his fireworks business as Big Creek Enterprises in 1969 and later changed the company name to Pyro Shows, Inc. Since the early 1980’s, Mr. Hill has served on the Technical Committee for Pyrotechnics for the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

The committee writes the NFPA codes for fireworks storage, transportation, and public displays. The NFPA 1123 and NFPA 1124 chapters are used extensively throughout the United States as the basis for firework code and conduct enforcement. Mr. Hill still actively serves as a committee member on the NFPA Technical Committee on Pyrotechnics.
Michael Walden is the Vice President of Pyro Shows, Inc. In addition to his leadership role at Pyro Shows, Inc., Mr. Walden was named President of Pyro Shows of Texas in 2013. Pyro Shows of Texas is located in Fort Worth and performs fireworks productions in Texas and surrounding states. Mr. Walden has been with Pyro Shows, Inc. since 1993, when he began working as a pyrotechnician. Mr. Walden’s 20+ years of experience provides him with advanced knowledge of customizing and producing successful fireworks shows, which makes him an ideal leader for both the Tennessee and Texas operations.
Pyro Shows has been providing fireworks entertainment throughout the world for almost half a century (AKA “a long time”). From Stockholm, Sweden, to San Sebastian, Spain, and from Abu Dhabi in the UAE, to Taipei, Taiwan, Pyro Shows has competed in some of the most prestigious international competitions. Pyro Shows won first place in the North American Fireworks Competition in Norfolk, Virginia, and has had the honor to provide the 4th of July fireworks at the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C. for 13 times since 1995.
